William DeVoe

My legal services involve providing advice and counsel to individuals, small to medium size clients that need general legal advice, but are not large enough to have a full-time general counsel.  A portion of my legal services involve providing legal advice and support to the general counsel’s office of larger companies.

The legal services I provide include litigating cases, overseeing others litigating cases, and drafting documents that protect the client’s interests.

My focus and my clients involve a cross-section of matters in maritime and admiralty law including commercial collections, collection of freight, maritime debtor-creditor issues, transportation law, and vessel foreclosures.  A portion of my practice involves commercial collections throughout the United States, including, but not limited to, Washington, Idaho, Alaska, and Oregon.

For years, I have represented marinas throughout the State of Washington concerning a variety of legal matters and I often speak before the state association of marina owners and operators concerning legal matters related to marina operations.

I also represent trucking companies and individuals in matters related to the trucking industry.

In Southern Idaho, my focus is on commercial collections, general legal advice on vineyard and wine law.  I am a wine enthusiast and spend about half of my time living and working in the Snake River AVA.

Representing creditors in bankruptcy cases is also a part of my practice.

I have a group of highly qualified lawyers that I associate with on larger complex matters and I therefore have the ability to take on significant work and accomplish it in a timely and efficient cost effective manner. The trusted attorneys I work with combine to work together to provide clients our combined many years of experience with an understanding of our clients' unique requirements. My experience, talents, and passion combine to allow me to focus on bringing out the best in the people I work with while staying focused on the overall success of the group or organization.  My satisfaction is greatest when the entire organization accomplishes its goals and achieves quality success in its endeavors.

I am a member of the Washington Bar Association, the Idaho Bar Association, Alaska Bar Association, Oregon Bar Association, NW Marine Trade Association, Maritime Law Association of the Unites States, Association of Transportation Professionals, and the Transportation Club of Seattle.
